Kat Redkind is a multidisciplinary artist with an international background residing in the Northern Suburbs of Paris. While working as an independent photographer, she develops personal projects that combine photography, cinema, poetry, and music, focusing on themes of loss of identity, uprootedness, liminality, cultural clash, and contemporary femininity.

In parallel with her artistic practice, she curates and leads cultural experiences in Paris, including private art and fashion tours, immersive photo walks, and an English-speaking Poetry Club in the heart of Paris.

Initially trained as a linguist, she later studied film at Université Paris VIII after immigrating to France from Russia in 2016. Her work bridges lived experience and formal research, positioning cinema and photography as tools of existential inquiry.

Her long-term projects include LIMBO 93 (This Too is Paris), a documentary exploration of migration and suburban identities, and I (see) RED, a hybrid cinematic and photographic work investigating embodied female subjectivity through surrealist imagery and non-linear narrative structures.

THIS TOO IS AN INSPIRATION
— Kat Redkind
Personal connections and relationships—particularly within the frameworks of immigration and displacement, where adversity is not simply a theme but the very substance of creation—remain central to my work.
In this sense, This Too is an Inspiration operates less as a motto than as a methodological principle—an insistence that nothing is excluded from the field of art
